Will Montano Tie the Knot?

Will SOCA superstar Machel Montano soon get into wedding locks with his girl friend Kavelle Keir? Well, that was the question everybody seemed to ask him who attended a thanksgiving ceremony held by Montano on Saturday at the Chaguaramas golf course. The ceremony was to celebrate Montano’s 30 years in soca business and a great 2012 carnival season.

However, Montano did not reveal anything about his marriage plans and when he showered praise on Keir, several eyebrows were raised. Montano said that behind every great man, stands a better woman. He further said that the current year is about change and resetting. He further added that every day a rebirth occurs and that he cannot wait to start fresh once again. While talking he gazed at Keir.

Keir was sitting alongside Montano’s parents while the soca star said that God has given him a great family, band and best friends. Meanwhile statements made by Montano’s manager James Walton said that they believe that a wedding may be the next big step of Montano. Montano’s mother Elizabeth also said that she feels that another event might be soon coming to her son and while saying so, she gazed at Montano and Keir. It is to be noted that the soca superstar enjoyed huge success at this year’s Carnival celebration where he won Triple Crown.

I wish I was part of the dance floor hire company they’ve used, just so that I could watch them all busting their moves on the dance floor!

WEDDING DRESS SHOPPING

Esha Deol, daughter of Hema Malini and Dharmendra will soon tie knots and mother Hema is ensuring that everything goes right for Esha’s wedding. The Bollywood dream girl has already started shopping for her daughter’s wedding and guess where she has first stopped? Yes, it’s Malabar Gold, the jewellery brand for which Hema serves as the brand ambassador. Hema who was several hit films under her belt was in Dubai to unveil the new logo of Malabar Gold.

In an exclusive interview with Gulf News, Hema said that she has shopped quite a number of times here because they offer beautiful traditional South Indian pieces.

She further added that some of the pieces are quite rare. She said that she was in Dubai a couple of years back for the showroom opening and that she is glad that the company is expanding in a big way. It is to be noted that Malabar Gold is a leading name in the Indian jewellery market and it is also one of the fastest growing retail chains in the Middle East. The group is venturing into a $700 million investment which will help it to treble its annual turnover to $6 billion in the next four years. As far as Esha’s wedding is concerned, Hema said that they are planning the wedding sometime in June.
